BESSEY Tools donate clamps for school project in Burkina Faso
Burkina Faso is located in the Sudan Zone of Western Africa. The country and its people are extremely poor. 75 % of the population are illiterate. For this reason, Lutz Schurig from BESSEY Tools wasted no time, when former Lord Mayer of Ludwigsburg, Dr. Otfried Ulshöfer, announced a fund-raising drive together with world famine relief.
Screw clamps of all sizes and high-quality sheet steel snips and paper scissors were transported to Kongussi, the capital city of the Bam Province located on Bam Lake, together with a transport of relief aid organised by Dr. Ulshöfer und Herbert Fleischmann on behalf of the town of Ludwigsburg.
Our donation was used to upgrade and enlarge a local school, which also operates a small-scale apprenticeship programme. Many children in Kongussi are delighted that three new classrooms and a small workshop could be built for the school in the Bango district with the help of donations from Ludwigsburg.
