Follow-up report to the International Hardware Fair, Cologne

Positive aspects prevail in the industry

The International Hardware Fair, which took place from 28.02.10 - 03.03.10 in Cologne was a success for the clamping and cutting technology specialist BESSEY this year, despite the difficult economic environment.

This year, one of the most important dates in the tooling industry took more of a focal position of interest than ever before. The biannual hardware fair took place from 28.02.10 - 03.03.10 in Cologne. Following 2009, a year that revealed to the manufacturing companies how fundamentally important it is, as a brand manufacturer, to be equally well positioned on the product and marketing sides of commerce, this year`s hardware fair was a yardstick for what lies before the industry.
With a newly conceived exhibition stand as well as a multitude of new innovative products, the visitor frequency enjoyed by BESSEY on all four trade fair days was very good. "As a result of our strong user-orientation we are able to cater to market requirements very quickly and provide the professional user with tools of the highest quality with perfect characteristics" said Carsten Spang, member of the company management, in the follow-up to the fair.
This was impressively demonstrated at the fair stand, with active presentations of the product range. The latest innovations in cutting technology - a very small and agile compound leverage snip - was particularly positively received by the international trade visitors.
"The users of our products and also the trade, through whom we market, are both increasingly differentiating in their purchasing decisions on the basis of benefits and performance aspects. Due to the wide variety of media available and the resulting ability to quickly communicate information, today anyone can very quickly generate comparisons in terms of quality, range and price. This requires of BESSEY a clearly defined commitment to the market and above all that we endeavour not only to be leaders in innovation, problem-solving, and cost-to-benefit, but also that we maintain and expand this position." said Carsten Spang.
Following a difficult previous year, in 2010 the company - which operates a cold drawn steel plant at the Bietigheim site as a second commercial pillar alongside the production of tools - anticipates a recovery in economic activity in both national and international areas. "One can very clearly see that the positive aspects are prevailing on the market, and that our industrial customers are again preparing for growth for the future."
