BESSEY donates for a good cause

On the occasion of the Trade Fair Holz-Handwerk, which took place in Nuremberg from 24 to 27 March, BESSEY initiated a fundraising campaign. The DBKWH folding knife was offered for sale at a preferred price from which 1 Euro was donated from each sale.

The recipient of the donation is to be a socially engaged technical trade organisation. The choice fell to the workshop "Workstart GmbH" based in Stuttgart. This non-profit organisation combines a social mandate with handcrafting expertise. Young people with a handicap have the opportunity to train to become and qualify as carpenters, masons, painters or landscape gardeners.

The knife generated enthusiastic interest among the trade fair`s visitors. And donations amounting to 300 Euro were collected. The transfer was made together with a BESSEY tool kit on site at Workstart`s carpentry workshop. According to Workstart`s master craftsman, the donation will be used as a tool kit for a newly created apprenticeship.

BESSEY was pleased to be able to participate in raising money for this cause.
