Flexibility plus reliability
BESSEY will be exhibiting its ingenious Best Comfort System at the welding show Schweißen & Schneiden in Essen, Germany, for the very first time. The system features a modern, two-component handle with spindle and three different pressure plates permitting quick and easy changeover. This lends users maximum flexibility with scope for totally individual adjustment of their clamp in line with the relevant material.
Flexibility and easy operation plus maximum convenience – this sums up the outstanding benefits of the new BESSEY Best Comfort System.
Modern engineering
The modern two-component handle made of high-quality plastic developed specifically for use with clamps is designed to fit snugly to the grasp. Its symmetrical shape and the thumb fixture guide the hand securely into the right gripping position, whether from above or below. The plastic components are designed to emulate the rotary movements of the clamping process, guaranteeing an optimum grip and pleasant handling.
Quick and simple to use
The exchangeable pressure plates on the spindle offer outstanding time savings and flexibility for the user: With just a few quick adjustments and without using any other tools, any pressure plate can be removed or mounted. Once mounted, the plate is held reliably and stably in place. This flexibility allows the user to fix a wide range of different materials using a single clamp – simply select the right plate, exchange and carry on working.
Flexible selection
There are three different pressure plates to choose from.
The pressure plate made of proven quality steel offers universal application scope. It is heat-resistant, making it suitable for welding work. It is galvanized to protect it from rusting.
An alternative is the exchangeable pressure plate made of non-rusting stainless steel which comes with a BESSEY protective plastic cap. This plate is suitable for working with stainless steel. The protective plastic cap is slipped over the plate to clamp sensitive materials with polished or ground surfaces which are susceptible to scratching.
Work with thin-walled or large-area workpieces is simplified by using a pressure plate with double the standard diameter (80 millimetres). By increasing the contact area, this plate distributes the pressure evenly over the workpiece.
The following BESSEY products are available with the new Best-Comfort-System: Malleable cast iron, all-steel, Omega and one-handed clamps. The proven wooden handle will continue to remain part of the production range.
