Double award winners

BESSEY´s high-tech hand shears have recently been singled out for two awards, namely the Baden-Wuerttemberg International Design Prize 2006 (under the theme "Focus Energy") and the iF product design award 2007. The judges praised their outstanding, ground-breaking design.

Series of three models
Tough materials such as aramid fibre, carbon fibre and glass fibre sheets can be easily and precisely cut with BESSEY´s high-tech shears. The D900 series consists of three entirely newly developed models.

Ergonomic
The judges were persuaded by the classic shape of the shears, which was newly interpreted as a consequence of the demands of the materials. They also praised them for their convenience and practicality. It is no longer necessary for the user to lift the material for cutting purposes, thanks to the ingenious arrangement of the finger holes and blades.

The finger holes, moreover, are so large that the user can even wear gloves, thus avoiding bruising the hands. BESSEY´s high-tech shears can be used by left- and right-handed people alike, since the finger holes are shaped in such a way that they are equally suitable for both.

Solvent resistant
The judges also appreciated the fact that BESSEY´s high-tech shears are immune to the effects of aggressive cleaning agents and, as a result, can quickly be made ready for use again. Users can simply remove residues of resin with acetone.
